Pricilla Block has really broken the mold with her newest single off of her highly anticipated album “Things You Didn’t See” coming out October 10th! Do not miss out on this one. It’s not a massive release, but it’s an artist really stretching her capacity as a performer. Pricilla is known for her hard, edgy personality. The fun girl at parties that's tough. I’m sure those songs will still be on her album, but a streak of honesty about this other side to her is finally coming through. This song is an example of the beginning of the inspiration to reveal more of herself with her fans! It’s an exciting time in her career.

The song is called “Couldn’t Care Less” and when I saw the title I was expecting a big “F U” song from her to a guy. Instead, it’s a soft endearing song about her insecurities. She really feels misrepresented because of her fame and the way she is being perceived. The lyrics are soft and easily understood. Beautiful instrumentation and melody that is catchy within itself. I knew immediately this song would do well. Although it’s in the song's early stage of even being seen I feel it necessary to recommend this song specifically. I think it’s a HIT! I could be wrong on this one, but if Country Radio reacts like it should to the album. This song will be on their short list of choices, but they might want to keep Pricilla…” Pricilla!” They might not want to recognize this side of her. I hope that they give this song a chance.

The song talks about different public and personal moments that she is not happy about what happened. She believes she is being perceived as if she doesn’t care or is ignorant to other people's points of view. It really bothers her that she posted a picture and a fan said she needs to lose weight. Imagine being the tough girl Country Music Star with a little extra meat on your bones in front of thousands of people every night. Over and over that comment can eat away at that person. She was honored and nominated for a top Country Music award, but it didn’t go to her. All that hard work, her work, not being seen as the best. When she texted her friend and missed her wedding is by far the most relatable moment of the song. I can almost picture the music video and the bride rolling her eyes. This is generally the most devastating to experience and have her fans react and hear about it. We have all been in a situation where we wanted to be two places at once and couldn’t. We all have been bothered and upset with not being there for someone. Lastly, she talks about her faith. A topic most Country Music stars believe but often talk about how they have the Bible by the side of the bed. She wants to explore her faith deeper. All the themes weight, underappreciation, unwanted separation, and lukewarm faith are all really difficult, relatable themes. As a fan it brings you into her world just for a couple minutes. It shows us her humanity in a world that often wants something from you, then turns away to discard you. She actually isn’t like that. At times her personality or persona can exhibit the tough girl, but she has more to her than meets the eye. It’s beautiful! I hope you give this one a listen. I feel it SHOULD be a HIT! Will it? I'm not sure, but we need this message for little girls promoted. Don’t just promote strength in hard work but also compassion and humility.
